Trips and Visits

At Ruskin, we value the impact of extra curricular visits and residentials. These can have a huge impact on the lives of our young people. Ruskin runs a variety of visits throughout the school year including

  • Geography Field Trips -
  • Theatre Visits
  • Art Gallery/Clothes Show Visits
  • Visits to Universities and Colleges/Sixth form

Our next trip will be the History Department on Friday 1st March to Manchester to take part in a revision day on Elizabethan England.

The school has now introduced a new, more convenient way to pay for trips online using a secure service called ParentPay.

ParentPay offers you the freedom to make payments wherever and wherever you like, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using a unique username and password - safe in the knowledge that the technology used is of the highest internet security available.

We hope you will support us in introducing this system and would appreciate your on-going views.

Globe Theatre Trip 7th September 2018

Each year, the History GCSE focuses on a different historic environment, this year's site being the Globe Theatre in London! Students in Year 11 had a trip down to London in September for a specialist talk on the site followed by a fantastic performance of Shakespeare's Othello, starring no one other than the brilliant Mark Rylance as the (not so) "honest Iago". The play was enjoyed by students and should give them an extra boost for their Summer exams.

Year 8 School trip July 2018 to France

We are delighted to be taking our students in Year 8 and Year 10 studying GCSE French to France in July 2018 to Chateau Beaumont.  The Chateau is a large private estate in the beautiful Mayenne countryside.  The deadline for deposits of £100 is 7th July 2017.
