Attendance is a key component to your child’s success

Our curriculum is designed to underpin our school values of:

Pupils behave well in lessons and around school.

Respect

Our broad curriculum incorporates a range of sports from our multi-cultural school community.

Our lessons offer all students with opportunities to excel in areas and support peers in their own development.

Through our lessons, we encourage mutual respect and self-respect, meaning students are always being the best that they can be.

High Aspirations

We strive to push all students to achieve their personal best, and demonstrate the importance of correct technique in order to master skill and fulfil their
personal goals.

We want our students to recognise the importance of having high aspirations and have linked many areas of the curriculum to a variety of professionals that all rely on sport in order to encourage this.

We aim to bring in experts from different sporting areas to share their experience and achievements with students, and ultimately inspire our students to achieve their potential.

Confidence

Our teachers use lots of different formats of retrieval practice which develops students’ knowledge, understanding and performance in all areas, and encourage repetitive performance to help build confidence.

We encourage all students to ask questions and provide a safe environment for all to get it wrong before they continue to practise.

Lessons build on one another to ensure that a wide range of skills and techniques are mastered and confidently utilised.
